parmesan encrusted tilapia

This is by far one of my favorite meals I have ever cooked. I have three kids and they devoured the fish at dinner. So it is definitely a great family dinner. I paired this with a garlic mashed potato and garlic-buttered asparagus.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon celery salt
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 pounds tilapia fillets, thawed

How To Make parmesan encrusted tilapia

  • Step 1
    preheat broiler to 500 degrees. Grease pan or line with foil.
  • Step 2
    In a small bowl, mix together all ingredients except fish. Mix well and set aside.
  • Step 3
    Arrange fillets in a single layer on pan. broil on top rack for 2-3 minutes flip and repeat on other side. Remove from oven. Cover the fillets with parmesan mixture and place back in the oven. Broil for 2 more minutes or until the topping is lightly browned.
