This is by far one of my favorite meals I have ever cooked. I have three kids and they devoured the fish at dinner. So it is definitely a great family dinner. I paired this with a garlic mashed potato and garlic-buttered asparagus.

  • 1/2 c
    shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 c
    butter, softened
  • 3 Tbsp
  • 2 Tbsp
    fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp
    dried basil
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1/8 tsp
    celery salt
  • 2 clove
  • 2 lb
    tilapia fillets, thawed

How to Make Parmesan Encrusted Tilapia


  1. preheat broiler to 500 degrees. Grease pan or line with foil.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together all ingredients except fish. Mix well and set aside.
  3. Arrange fillets in a single layer on pan. broil on top rack for 2-3 minutes flip and repeat on other side. Remove from oven. Cover the fillets with parmesan mixture and place back in the oven. Broil for 2 more minutes or until the topping is lightly browned.
