Ingredients
- 1 cup pale ale
- 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, divided
- 2 tablespoons canola oil, divded
- 1 pound lg shrimp, peeled, deveined, tails left on.
- - ground pepper for seasoning
- 1 cup flour
How To Make new england styled light fried shrimp

Step 1In bowl, whisk together ale, flour, mustard and 1/4 tsp salt until smooth.

Step 2Heat 1 tbsp oil in lg deep skillet over med-high heat. Holding shrimp by the tail, dip into ale batter. Add to oil.

Step 3Cook, turning once, until golden brown, about 4 mins. Drain on paper towels. Season w/ remaining salt. and a pinch of pepper. Fry remaining shrimp.
