I serve it w/ homemade tartar sauce.
Ingredients

1 cflour
-
1 tspbaking powder
-
1 tspeach, salt & pepper
-
1 cmilk
-
1 largeegg
-
·oil for frying, i use canola

1-1/2 lbcod fillets, patted dry w/ paper towels.
How to Make New England style simple fried fish
- In lg bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, salt & pepper. Stir in milk and egg. Stir until smooth.
Let stand 20 minutes. - Heat a good amount of oil in lg deep skillet over med-high heat, until hot. Dredge fish fillets in batter, one piece at a time. Place fillets in oil.
- Fry, turning once, until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
