I just started using Spanish Smoked Paprika & I am in love with it! My first whiff of it made me think of pairing it with salmon. My son & I loved this dish -- none was left! Simple, fast, easy.

prep time 5 Min
cook time 15 Min
method ---
yield 2-3 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 1 - salmon filet, size depending on how many you're feeding
  • 1 - lemon
  • 1 - onion
  • - smoked spanish paprika
  • - garlic salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (or more -- i didn't measure)
  • 1/2 - stick butter, melted

How To Make mertzie's melt-in-your mouth salmon with paprika

  • Step 1
Cut salmon in portions for each guest. I cut in half, as it was 2 of us. Preheat oven to 400.
  • Step 2
Mix garlic salt, paprika, olive oil in melted butter. (Note: I used a very good garlic salt from Penzey's. If you don't have a high quality, I would advice using sea salt on the salmon first & then adding some garlic to the sauce separately.)
  • Step 3
Spray a piece of aluminum foil w/ cooking spray. (Use one large piece of foil for each piece of salmon.) Put a piece of salmon in the foil.
  • Step 4
Brush each piece of salmon w/ the butter sauce. If you have any left-over, drizzle over top. Add some lemons & onion slices to each piece of salmon. Fold loosely the foil over to make a foil packet.
  • Step 5
Bake for about 15 mins. or until the salmon is done & flaking to your liking. Enjoy!
