I was searching for a tasty recipe to use some salmon that I had in the freezer. Many blogs later, I based my recipe from one I found at www.food.com. Our family really enjoyed this lightly flavored dish.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon warm water
  • 4 - salmon fillets
  • 3 tablespoons scallions
  • 1 tablespoon sliced almonds

How To Make maple glazed salmon

  • Step 1
you can use scallions, chives, or the tops of green onions. In my version I used the green tops of green onion only.
  • Step 2
dissolve the corn starch in the warm water.
  • Step 3
in small bowl, combine maple syrup, soy sauce, ginger, and corn starch mixture.
  • Step 4
place salmon fillets in glass baking pan (spray with cooking spray to make clean up easier).
  • Step 5
slowly pour the syrup mixture over the salmon. Top with a few pieces of scallion, chives, or green onion slices.
  • Step 6
Bake in 450 oven for 15 to 20 minutes. Stopping half way to baste the salmon with the glaze from the pan.
  • Step 7
top each piece of salmon with scallions and sliced almonds.
