maple glazed salmon
I was searching for a tasty recipe to use some salmon that I had in the freezer. Many blogs later, I based my recipe from one I found at www.food.com. Our family really enjoyed this lightly flavored dish.

Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon warm water
- 4 - salmon fillets
- 3 tablespoons scallions
- 1 tablespoon sliced almonds
How To Make maple glazed salmon

Step 1you can use scallions, chives, or the tops of green onions. In my version I used the green tops of green onion only.

Step 2dissolve the corn starch in the warm water.

Step 3in small bowl, combine maple syrup, soy sauce, ginger, and corn starch mixture.

Step 4place salmon fillets in glass baking pan (spray with cooking spray to make clean up easier).

Step 5slowly pour the syrup mixture over the salmon. Top with a few pieces of scallion, chives, or green onion slices.

Step 6Bake in 450 oven for 15 to 20 minutes. Stopping half way to baste the salmon with the glaze from the pan.

Step 7top each piece of salmon with scallions and sliced almonds.
