linguine and clams

I make this recipe with clams or shrimps or sometimes use both and this is a quick meal to prepare.

Ingredients For linguine and clams

  • 12 oz
    linguini
  • 1/4 c
    olive oil, extra virgin
  • 6 clove
    garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp
    red pepper flakes
  • 1 can
    15 ounce diced tomatoes
  • 2 can
    6,5 ounce clams or 1/2 pound small shrimp or both
  • 1/2 c
    fresh flat leaf chopped parsley
  • c
    baby spinach
  • 2
    grated parmesan cheese

How To Make linguine and clams

    Cook pasta according to package directions..drain and return to potmmIn a large skillet heat the oil, garlic and crushed pepper flakes, stirring occasionally about 3 minutes.

    Add the tomatoes and wine along with the clams and simmer stirring occasionally for 5 minutes. Stir in the parsley and spinach and shrimp if using...toss pasta. psrsley, spinach into the tomato mixture...serve with grated parmesam cheese sprinkled over top. garlic bread goes well with this dish.

    I omitted the wine 1 cup of white wine optional.
