Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp
    lime juice
  • 1 Tbsp
    vegetable oil
  • 1 Tbsp
    honey
  • 1 lb
    sea scallops
  • 1 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 7/8 tsp
    ginger
  • 2 Tbsp
    sesame seeds, lightly toasted

How to Make Honey Broiled Sea Scallops

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine lime juice, oil, honey,soy sauce, and ginger.
  2. Add scallops and toss to coat; cover and refrigerate 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  3. Remove scallops from marinade, reserving marinade.
  4. Place scallops in a shallow baking pan that has been sprayed with a non-stick coating; broil 4-6 inches from source of heat 2-3 minutes.
  5. Turn and baste with reserved marinade and continue cooking 2-3 minutes or until opaque throughout.
  6. sprinkle with sesame seeds; serve immediately.
