grilled tuna melt

There is nothing like combining two comfort food favorites, grilled cheese and tuna melts..Mmmm Mmmm Good. A little high on the calories but Ohh so worth it. I made this with Franz's San Juan Bread and swiss cheese this time but next time I think I'll add some guyere shavings as well as a few dill pickles on it too. possibilities are endless.

Ingredients

  • - your favorite tuna salad
  • 4 slices favorite bread, rye, whole grain or sourdough work best
  • 4 slices favorite cheese

How To Make grilled tuna melt

  • Step 1
    Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  • Step 2
    Put enough tuna salad to cover slice of bread on two slices of bread opposite side from the butter.
  • Step 3
    Cover with 2 slices of your favorite cheese cover with second slice of bread butter side up.
  • Step 4
    Place on hot griddle buttered side down, flip when browned. Remove off griddle when cheese is melted and bread is well browned.
