Grilled Tuna Melt

There is nothing like combining two comfort food favorites, grilled cheese and tuna melts..Mmmm Mmmm Good. A little high on the calories but Ohh so worth it.

I made this with Franz's San Juan Bread and swiss cheese this time but next time I think I'll add some guyere shavings as well as a few dill pickles on it too. possibilities are endless.

favorite bread, rye, whole grain or sourdough work best
4 slice

How to Make Grilled Tuna Melt


  • 1Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  • 2Put enough tuna salad to cover slice of bread on two slices of bread opposite side from the butter.
  • 3Cover with 2 slices of your favorite cheese cover with second slice of bread butter side up.
  • 4Place on hot griddle buttered side down, flip when browned. Remove off griddle when cheese is melted and bread is well browned.
