Dee's Shrimp Burgers
1 lbuncooked shrimp, peeled and devined
2 Tbspchopped onions
1 tspold bay seasoning
1 1/2 tsplemon juice
3 Tbspmayonnaise can use light
1 ccracker, bread or panko crumbs
·alt and pepper to taste
·tabasco sauce to taste
1 or 2 Tbspcanola oil
How to Make Dee's Shrimp Burgers
- Peel shrimp, and chop.
In a large bowl mix the shrimp with the onions, and lemon zest.
Stir in the mayonnaise, cracker, bread or panko crumbs and the egg, and beat with a whisk or wooden spoon until evenly distributed. Add the chopped shrimp and season w/ salt, pepper, Old Bay & Tabasco to taste.
Form into patties and sauté in canola oil until both sides are nicely browned.
Drain on paper towel.
Serve on hamburger buns or choice of bread with lettuce, tomato, and/or tartar/cocktail sauce.
