How to Make Crumb Fried Fish

Step-by-Step

  1. Blend to a smooth paste the egg, mint, coriander, green chillies and lemon juice. Add flours and seasoning, mix well. Marinate fish in this for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Heat a little oil in a frying pan. Coat in breadcrumbs the fish fillet with marinade. Shallow fry till golden on both sides (2 mins per side).
  3. Enjoy with potatoes (fried, sauteed or mashed) and sauce of choice.

The sauce I served was a mix of 6 tbs mayo, 4 tbs ketchup, 2 tbs lemon juice, 1 tbs herb seasoning, salt & pepper.
