crispy oven-fried fish

Found this recipe in my Better Homes and Gardens cookbook. For years I haven't been able to serve fish to my family as my husband refused to eat it. I love good fish; and, I'm happy to say that it is a regular on my table once again.

Ingredients
- 1 pound skinless fish fillets ( should be 1/2"-3/4" thick)
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/3 cup all purpose flour
- 1/3 cup fine dry bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon dried dill
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
How To Make crispy oven-fried fish

Step 1Thaw fish if frozen. Rinse and pat fillets dry w/paper towels. Cut into 4 serving sized pieces. Measure thickness of fish.

Step 2Place milk in shallow dish. Place flour in a second shallow dish. In a third shallow dish combine bread crumbs, cheese, dill, and pepper. Mix. To this, add the melted butter and stir till combined. Dip fish in the milk; coat with the flour. Dip again in the milk; then in the crumb mixture to coat all sides. Place fish on a greased baking sheet. Bake, uncovered, in a 450 degree oven for 4-6 minutes per 1/2" thickness or until fish begings to flake when tested with a fork.
