I'm starting to like fish more and more now that I realize you can pretty much do anything with it. I liked this a lot when my sister made it recently, hope you do too.

    tilapia fillets (about 4 oz each)
  • 1-2 Tbsp
    olive oil, light
  • 1 Tbsp
    chili powder, medium or hot, your choice
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp
    cumin, powdered
  • 1 Tbsp
    grated orange zest

How to Make Citrus Chili Tilapia


  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Place the tilapia fillets in a glass baking dish and rub on all sides with the olive oil.
  3. In a small bowl, stir together chili powder, cayenne pepper, and cumin.
  4. Sprinkle the tilapia on both sides with the spice mixture and rub in well, then sprinkle orange zest over top.
  5. Bake in preheated oven until the tilapia flakes easily with a fork, about 15 minutes.
