a search for a recipe lead me to Emeril.com and this recipe. I made this tonight and we loved it! Wished we had more trout for leftovers! I did alter the recipe some to our taste, and here is my version of it

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces lake trout
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice concentrate
  • 3 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • - salt, cayenne pepper or cajun seasoning to taste
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced

How To Make broiled trout

  • Step 1
    turn broiler on to preheat
  • Step 2
    season trout with salt and cayenne pepper or Cajun seasoning
  • Step 3
    mix butter, lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce together
  • Step 4
    place trout in shallow broiler pan lined with foil
  • Step 5
    pour butter mixture over trout, broil for 5 to 7 minutes
  • Step 6
    turn trout over with spatula and cover with onions
  • Step 7
    broil 5 to 7 minutes longer until trout is flakey. Be careful because it will burn quickly
  • Step 8
    remove some of the onions before serving
