My father discovered this Off the Boat Tartar Sauce on his fishing trip to Alaska. This sauce may be used as a dip or slathered over the halibut and encrusted on the top during grilling.

1 bunch
green onions, chopped

lemon pepper

blackening seasoning

How to Make Blackened Alaskan Grilled Halibut with Off the Boat Tartar Sauce

Step-by-Step

  • 1In small bowl, combine mayonnaise, green onions, and lemon pepper. Squeeze lemon over each halibut steak and season with blackening seasoning or just top with 1/4 cup of tartar sauce, spread to cover one side.
  • 2Preheat grill to medium high heat. Slightly grease grill. Place tartar encrusted halibut on grill. Grill for 10 minutes or until halibut flakes with fork. Serve with lemon wedges.
