eggs, separated
3/4 c
beer, at room temperature
2 tsp
vegetable oil
3/4 c
all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp
table salt

How to Make BEER BATTER FOR FISH

Step-by-Step

  • 1Place flour in mixing bowl.
  • 2Add egg yolks, salt, vegetable oil and beer. Stir together until thoroughly mixed.
  • 3Cover, and place in refrigerator for 2 hours.
  • 4Just before using, stir batter.
  • 5In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff but NOT dry.
  • 6Gently fold beaten egg whites into cold batter.
  • 7Coat pieces of fish, and fry in 360 degree oil until pieces float.
