This is another recipe that I tried out of the Better Homes and Gardens cookbook. Made a few tweaks. Another way of getting fish into our diets. Thaw fish, before starting recipe. Time is not included in prep time.

Ingredients
- - thaw fish ahead of time; not included in prep time.
- - cooking spray
- 1 pound frozen fish, thawed (haddock, halibut, or cod)
- 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
- 1 cup 1% or 2% milk
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt or to taste
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder or to taste
- 1 dash dried oregano, crushed
- 1/8 teaspoon dried thyme, crushed
- 1/4 cup chopped green onion
- - paprika
How To Make baked fish with herbs

Step 1Thaw fish ahead of time; not part of prep time. Lightly dry off with paper towels.

Step 2Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 10 x 6 x 1 1/2 inch baking dish with cooking spray.

Step 3Place thawed and dried off fish in prepared baking dish. Dot fish fillets with 1 Tb. butter, divided over all.

Step 4Thoroughly blend milk and flour, in small to medium saucepan. Cook, and stir over medium heat, until sauce thickens and bubbles. Cook, and stir, 1 minute longer. Stir in all other ingredients.

Step 5Pour sauce over fish. Sprinkle lightly with paprika. Bake, uncovered, for 20-25 minutes.
