This is an authentic asian recipe from a friend of mine. This is by far my favorite salmon dish. Yum!

Ingredients

  • 4 - salmon portions
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, extra virgin
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar, light
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons minced onion
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • FOR RICE
  • 2 cups rice, long grain
  • tablespoon dill weed
  • 4 cups water

How To Make asian salmon with rice

  • Step 1
    Whisk all of the ingredients for the marinade together. Cut several small slashes in each salmon portion.
  • Step 2
    Place the salmon in a baking dish. Pour the marinade over the salmon. Cover with saran wrap and refridgerate for 1-2 hours.
  • Step 3
    Bake salmon (uncovered) at 350 degrees for 30 mins.
  • Step 4
    While the salmon is cooking, make the rice according to package directions and add the dill at the same time you add the rice to the boiling water.
  • Step 5
    Serve salmon over rice and pour any left over marinade from the baking dish on top.
