I started making this a couple of years ago. It was a fast way of making it and was easy to change to diet menu in case I needed it. This was an easier version and tasty from frozen versions. I hope you will try it at least once.

Ingredients

  • 4 oz
    chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 1 Tbsp
    margarine
  • 1 large
    egg, a little water, to make egg wash
  • 2 oz
    italian bread crumbs
  • 4 slice
    ham or turkey ham
  • 4 slice
    swiss cheese
  • 1 tsp
    granulated garlic

How to Make Zee's Easy Open Faced Chicken Cordon Bleu

Step-by-Step

  1. Pound Chicken Breast to flatten. Dip in egg wash and then into bread crumbs with granulated Garlic.
  2. Melt Margarine in nonstick skillet over medium heat. Cook Chicken 1 minute on each side. Place in Square pan. Top each breast with a slice of ham. Pour pan drippings over Chicken.
  3. Cover with tin foil and bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes. Uncover and add a slice of cheese over each chicken breast. Cover and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
