white chicken chili

This is one of my favorite winter soups. It is easy to make and packed with lots of flavor.

Ingredients

  • 9 cups chicken broth
  • 1 - yellow onion chopped
  • 10 ounces can of rotel tomatoes
  • 4 1/2 ounces can of chopped green chilies
  • 2 cans 15 oz great northern beans
  • 2 teaspoons dried cumin
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 3 cups boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cooked and diced
  • GARNISHES
  • - shredded monterrey jack cheese
  • - sour cream
  • - fresh cilantro

How To Make white chicken chili

  • Step 1
    Mix together first 8 ingredients in a large saucepan and simmer for 1 1/2 hours. Add chicken and cook until heated through. Spoon into bowls; garnish with cheese, sour cream and cilantro. Serve with cornbread.
