I had chicken out for dinner tonight and wanted to use the crock pot so I searched around the site and got inspired. This is what I came up with, I hope you try it and enjoy this as much as we did.

    3 boneless skinless chicken breasts; cubed
  • ·
    1/2 cup onion
  • ·
    3 large potatoes; peeled, cubed, cooked
  • ·
    bacon; cooked & crumbled
  • ·
    olive oil

  • ·
    4 oz cream cheese
  • ·
    1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • ·
    1/4 cup asiago cheese; grated
  • ·
    1/2 cup milk
  • ·
    2 tbsp butter

  • ·
    pinch red pepper flake
  • ·
    2 tsp sazon complete seasoning
  • ·
    2 garlic cloves; minced
  • ·
    2 tsp garlic salt
  • ·
    1 tsp onion powder
  • ·
    salt and pepper

How to Make Twisted Chicken and Dumplings


  1. In a crock pot on high add chicken, onion, and seasonings. In a saucepan on the stove add milk, cream cheese, asiago cheese, Parmesan cheese, and butter. On medium heat stir until all the cheese has melted. Pour mixture on top of chicken in crock pot. Keep an eye on this and give it a stir every hour. Add more milk at the end if you want a thinner sauce. The last hour cook potatoes, drain and add to crock pot. Do not over cook potatoes or they will turn to much in the crock pot. You can also add them earlier if you have more time to use the crock pot. I didn't so I used this method.
  2. The last 30 minutes mix your bisquick dumpling mixture together and spoon on top of your chicken. Cover and cook for 30 minutes or until you can toothpick them and the toothpick comes out clean.
  3. Add your bacon before serving so it stays crispy.
