turkey-ish chicken crock pot

This was a quickie I threw together on a school day. Using the beef & chicken bouillon together gives this a little more of a turkey kind of flavor. And I am a turkey junkie, so I love that part! Ha!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chicken, boneless and skinless, chunked (or 4-6 chicken thighs)
  • 1 1/2 to 2 cups water
  • 6 - potatoes, new red, cut up
  • 2 large carrots, cut into thick slices
  • 1/4 large vidalia onion, chopped
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons oregano
  • 3 teaspoons basil
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary, dried
  • 1 - chicken boullion cube, low sodium
  • 2 - beef boullion cube, low sodium
  • - salt
  • - pepper

How To Make turkey-ish chicken crock pot

  • Step 1
    Add chicken to crock pot. Sprinkle with oregano, basil, garlic, celery seed & rosemary.
  • Step 2
    Add potatoes, carrots & onions. Sprinkle with salt & pepper.
  • Step 3
    Add water & bouillon cubes.
  • Step 4
    Cook on LOW for 4-6 hours. Stir slightly & serve.
  • Step 5
    If you have leftover veggies & broth after dinner, you can freeze as a starter for chicken soup!
