teryaki cabbage with chicken

This was meant as a new spin on my other cabbage recipes, and a way to use up the extra sauce in my fridge. I never expected anyone but myself to like it (my fiance doesn't like soy or teryaki much) and I actually had a hard time keeping it around long enough to have any myself! This stuff is AMAZING. I have been instructed to never make a single batch again, and I MUST double, if not triple, the recipe from now on. ;)

Ingredients

  • 1 - head of cabbage
  • 3 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup teryaki sauce

How To Make teryaki cabbage with chicken

  • Step 1
    Cut Cabbage into large bite-sized pieces, set aside.
  • Step 2
    Simmer chicken in chicken broth, soy & teryaki sauces until fully cooked. Remove from pan, set aside.
  • Step 3
    Add cabbage to pan, cooking until almost soft. Meanwhile, shred chicken.
  • Step 4
    Serve alone or over cooked chow mein noodles, fried or white rice.
