I made this recipe up to go with Maggie's fantastic sweet and sour sauce and plain white rice. Makes great popcorn style chicken, the cornstarch makes it very light and crunchy!!! Enjoy

Ingredients

  • 1 large boneless skinless chicken breast
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup corn starch
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • SPICE MIX
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
  • - salt and pepper

How To Make sweet & sour chicken

  • Step 1
    Slice chicken across then length wise, and across to cube chicken into small 1/2 inch pieces, sprinkle with spice mix, salt and pepper. Let sit for at least 1/2 hour
  • Step 2
    Mix flour, corn starch, and paprika, in a small bag, drop in chicken pieces and shake
  • Step 3
    Heat 1inch of peanut oil in cast iron skillet to 350. Dump chicken out of bag into strainer and shake to remove excess coating. Drop chicken into oil and fry till golden brown
  • Step 4
