Ingredients
- CRUST
- 1 1/2 teaspoons yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- FILLING
- 1 pound meat, ground, cut up or shredded
- 1 (6-8oz) can sauce
- ~1/2 pound cheese, shredded
- - extra seasoning - to taste
How To Make stromboli

Step 1Cook meat and drain grease; set aside.

Step 2In mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water.

Step 3Stir in sugar, salt and oil.

Step 4Add flour; beat for 2 minutes and let rest for 5.

Step 5Grease a cookie sheet or other type of baking sheet.

Step 6Add sauce and other seasonings to meat and mix.

Step 7On floured board, flatten out dough into a rectangle (it doesn't have to be perfect) about 1/4" thick.

Step 8Spread meat/sauce mixture over the dough.

Step 9Spread cheese evenly over the meat mixture.

Step 10Roll from long side, seal edges.

Step 11Transfer to greased baking sheet, bending into a "C" shape.

Step 12Bake at 350 degrees until browned (about 35 minutes).

Step 13I like to lightly brush the top of mine with butter after I pull it out of the oven, but you don't have to.
