  • 6
    chicken filets, trimmed
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    honey
  • 1 Tbsp
    five-spice powder
  • 1 Tbsp
    peanut oil
  • 2 Tbsp
    sweet chili sauce

How to Make Sticky Chicken

Step-by-Step

  1. Place chicken into a ceramic dish in a single layer. Combine soy sauce, honey, garlic and five-spice powder. Pour over chicken. Turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. Pre-heat oven to 400°F. Meanwhile, heat a frying pan over high heat. Add peanut oil. In frying pan, cook chicken, in batches, for 1 minute each side or until golden.
  3. Transfer to a baking tray. Brush with marinade. Bake for 5 minutes or until just cooked through.
  4. Brush on sweet chili sauce. Return to oven for 2 more minutes.
