slow cooker whole chicken
Those of us who use precooked chicken and pick it up at the store will find this very useful. We have so many recipes that call for precooked chicken that I needed to find a way to save money buying it from the store, so I figured out how to do it in the Crock Pot. Love that this saves tons of money and that the chicken is so tender it falls right off the bone.
Blue Ribbon Recipe
An easy way to make chicken in the slow cooker. Tender and succulent, the meat practically falls off the bone when removed from the Crock Pot. Rich and savory, the slow cooker makes this a great meal prep recipe. The chicken can be sliced or shredded, served with a vegetable, or incorporated into other recipes. Since this is not baked, though, the skin does not crisp. After pulling the chicken from the slow cooker, add about 1 tsp of corn starch and whisk it into the remaining juices for a light (and delicious) gravy.
