Those of us that use precooked chicken and pick it up at the store will find this very useful. We have so many recipes that call for precooked chicken that I needed to find a way to save money buying it from the store so I figured out how to do it in the crock pot. Love this saves tons of money and that chicken is so tender it falls right off the bone.

Ingredients

Add to Grocery List

  • ·
    whole chicken
  • ·
    salt and pepper
  • ·
    any other seasonings you wish to add

How to Make Slow Cooker Whole Chicken

Step-by-Step

  1. Rinse 3 or 4 pound chicken under cold water. Pat chicken dry with paper towels.
  2. Season the chicken with salt, pepper and your choice of seasonings.
  3. Roll 3 or 4 balls of aluminum foil and place in bottom of slow cooker. Place in chicken in slow cooker on top of aluminum foil. You can also place vegetables in if you wish.
  4. Cook on low for 8 hours. Once done you can very easily remove the bone and dice up the chicken for any recipe.
  5. Enjoy!
