Ingredients
- 3 pounds chicken thighs, bone-in
- 1 pound small potatoes (red preferred), cut into chunks
- 2 - carrots, cut diagonally into large pieces
- 1/2 large onion, cut into chunks
- 4 cloves garlic, roughly chopped
- ginger, 1/2 inch cut in thin slices
- 3 green onions cut diagonally - 2 " pieces
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari
- 2 tablespoons rice wine or mirin
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 tablespoons gochujang
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- black pepper
How To Make slow cooker stewed chicken

Step 1Place the vegetables (excluding the green onion) in the slow cooker along with the chicken (trimmed of excess fat).

Step 2Mix the sauce ingredients (excluding the sesame oil and sesame seeds) and stir well. Pour sauce over the chicken.

Step 3Cook on low setting for 6 hours. When done, skim off excess fat and add the sesame oil and sesame seeds.

Step 4Serve with steamed rice.
