Ingredients
- 3 large chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon bacon grease
- 1/4 teaspoon ground thyme
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- salt & pepper to taste
- 1 package chicken gravy mix
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 6 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
- fresh chopped parsley
How To Make slow cooker chicken with bacon cream gravy

Step 1Place chicken breasts in slow cooker. Add garlic and bacon grease; sprinkle with thyme and salt & pepper to taste.

Step 2Mix 1 cup cold water with chicken gravy mix packet and pour over chicken.

Step 3Cook on high 3 hours.

Step 4Roughly shred chicken. Add back into pot.

Step 5gently stir together all purpose flour and heavy cream until very smooth. Stir into pot.

Step 6Turn cooker to low and continue to cook one hour.

Step 7Turn slow cooker off. Stir in crumbled bacon.

Step 8ladle over hot biscuits, rice, egg noodles or mashed potatoes and sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley!
