I love getting this dish at chinese restaurants, but wanted it to be healthier, so I made this. I do have a recipe for the fried type, but this is just as good.

Ingredients
- 4 - boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup water
- 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons light soy sauce
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons ketchup
- 1`/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed, hot red pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
- - hot cooked rice
How To Make slow-cooked general tsaos chicken

Step 1In bowl, whisk together hoisin and soy sauces, brown sugar, ketchup, ginger and crushed red pepper flakes, pour water over all.

Step 2Pour sauce into slow cooker. Add chicken and stir to coat chicken. Cook, covered 4-6 hrs, or until chicken is cooked through. Remove chicken from cooker.

Step 3Cut chicken into chunks. Whisk cornstarch into sauce in cooker until thickened. Put chicken back into cooker. Cook 15 mins more, or until hot. Spoon over rice, sprinkle w/ sesame seeds.
