Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce, dark
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger (better if fresh)
- 2 tablespoons dry white wine
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 3/4-1cup - water
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 1/2 pounds chicken breasts, skinless
- 1/4 cup green onion
- 2 tablespoons sliced onions
How To Make shoyu chicken

Step 1Combine first 5 ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Combine cornstarch with 1/4 cup of the water. Stir until dissolved, then add soy sauce mixture. Cook, stirring until thickened. Put chicken in a 9x13 baking pan. Pour sauce over chicken, turning pieces to coat. Cover and bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Serve over Jasmine rice with the onion and almonds for garnish.
