Halloween is a big part of our lives. We spend the whole month gearing up for it. We've done this pizza for dinner the day before Halloween every year since the kids were litte. We would have a scariest faced pizza contest and pumpkin carving contest where the winner would get a prize. My kids are almost grown, but we still do this and invite all of our friends with their kids to come out and join us for a fun-filled pre-halloween event.

Ingredients For scary faced pita pizzas

  • FOR THE PIZZA
  • 1 jar
    spaghetti or pizza sauce
  • 6
    (6 1/2-inch) pita bread
  • 2 pkg
    (8 oz.) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • YOU WILL NEED A WIDE VARIETY OF TOPPINGS. BELOW ARE SOME SUGGESTIONS.
  • pepperoni slices
  • ground beef, cooked & crumbled
  • ham sliced lunceon meat, cut into squares
  • bacon, cooked crumbled
  • italian sausage, cooked & crumbled
  • cooked grilled chicken chunks
  • small shrimp, cleaned, boiled & peeled
  • black olives, whole & sliced
  • green olives, whole & sliced
  • colored bell peppers, sliced, and diced into different shapes & sizes
  • fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • broccoli flowerets
  • white onions, diced & sliced
  • red onion, diced & sliced
  • fresh tomatos, diced & sliced
  • green onions, sliced and whole

How To Make scary faced pita pizzas

    Preheat oven to 415 degrees.

    Top pitas with pizza sauce, cheese and toppings.
