You know those great rotisserie chickens that you can buy at the store? Stop buying them and make your own with this easy recipe!

Ingredients

  • 1 large chicken, make a cut on each side of the spine and then remove
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 3 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cooking oil

How To Make rotisserie chicken at home (easy)

  • Step 1
    Mix dry rub ingredients together in a small bowl.
  • Step 2
    Preheat gas grill (all 3 burners) on medium.
  • Step 3
    Rub chicken on both sides with cooking oil then with the rub while grill is preheating.
  • Step 4
    Quickly sear chicken on both sides.
  • Step 5
    Turn left burner off, right burner on high and middle burner to low.
  • Step 6
    Place chicken evenly over off and low burner only, never over high burner. Cover and turn 1/4 turn (front to back and side to side) every 15 minutes.
  • Step 7
    Cook for 50-60 minutes rotating every 15 minutes until juices run clear and it reaches an internal temp of 165 degrees. Cover with foil and let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
