rice twice pilaf

This rice pilaf is great to take to a pot luck dinner. or when you have company coming. Try this recipe I'm almost sure you will like it.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 1 cup chopped carrots
  • 1 cup sliced celery
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup uncooked wild rice
  • 2 (14) ounces cans vegetable broth
  • 1 cup long grain rice, uncooked
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

How To Make rice twice pilaf

  • Step 1
    Heat oil in a nonstick skillet. Add onion, carrots, celery and garlic. Cook until tender
  • Step 2
    Add wild rice and vegetable broth. Heat to a boil. Cover and cook over low heat for 25 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Add white rice. Cover and cook over low heat for 20 minutes or until done. Stir in parsley
  • Step 4
    TIP: Turn this recipe into a delicious main dish, add cubed chicken.
