I love this pot Pie. Its my favorite. i was bored and started cooking in my kitchen and I wanted a meal that was Home cooked and very fresh. Perfect for winter!

Ingredients

  • 2 - pilsbery pie crusts
  • 5 - carrots, chopped
  • 4 - new potatoes
  • handful - fresh greenbeans
  • 1 package frozen corn drained
  • 1 package frozen peas drained
  • 1 - rotesseri chicken from kroger or local grocery
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 large heavy whipping cream
  • 1 stick butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour

How To Make renee's chicken pot pie

  • Step 1
    boil all veggies except frozen (put frozen in strainer with hot water over it let all drain) while this is going cut up chicken also put to side
  • Step 2
    to make cream put in large pan stick of butter,chopped onion, get onions soft then add heavy whipping cream, and salt & pepper to taste, add flour to thicken a bit stir do not let boil, let simmer (I add alot of pepper)
  • Step 3
    Large bowl put all veggies including frozen (half those bags)that are now all cut cubed add cream mix, stir
  • Step 4
    put in glass baking dish, cover with pie crusts and cook for about an hour and a half on 350.
  • Step 5
    ~ Sometimes instead of grean beeans I will add fresh asparagus too
