bonnie's ranch chicken stuffed french bread
This is a delicious open-faced chicken sandwich to serve with a bowl of soup for a fast and hearty meal. I tweaked it from the original recipe to suit our tastes, and it turned out a keeper for us. Hope you like it. Enjoy!

Makes one sandwich on a loaf of French bread
Ingredients
- 1 - loaf of good french bread sliced in half
- 1 - cup cooked shredded chicken, breast meat
- 1/4 - cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 - cup sour cream
- 1/2 - package of ranch dressing mix
- 1/2 - cup chopped sweet onion
- 1 - tablespoon dried parsley
- 1 1/4 - cup of sharp cheddar cheese shredded

Step 1Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2Assemble all the ingredients, and grate the cheese. Reserve 1/4 cup for topping.

Step 3Mix the shredded chicken, cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, parsley, and ranch dressing mix.

Step 4Chop the onion and add to the mixture.

Step 5Spread the mixture evenly onto the bread.

Step 6Bake for 15 minutes. Remove and sprinkle reserved cheese on top, return to oven for an additional 5 minutes.
