I love take-out lo-mein, so I tried a few ways to make it at home that would taste similar.
This is what I came up with.
It's so very yummy!

Ingredients

  • 10 oz
    chicken breast, cut into small pieces
  • 2 tsp
    minced garlic from a bottle
  • 1 tsp
    cornstarch
  • 3 Tbsp
    low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    asian duck sauce
  • 8 oz
    thin spaghetti
  • 2 Tbsp
    peanut oil
  • 1 c
    broccoli florets
  • 1
    carrot, thinly sliced on the bias
  • 1
    onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 c
    shredded napa cabbage
  • 1
    chopped scallion for garnish
  • 1 Tbsp
    sesame seeds, for garnish

How to Make Quick chicken lo-mein

Step-by-Step

  1. Cook pasta as directed, drain. In bowl, stir together chicken, cornstarch, garlic and 1 tbsp soy sauce. Add chicken mix to lg skillet over medium heat. Add 1 tbsp oil, saute 5 mins. Remove chicken from pan.
  2. Add 1 tbsp oil to skillet, add veggies, including cabbage. Saute 4 mins. Add chicken mix back to pan. Saute 2 mins.
  3. Add spaghetti to skillet along w/ the duck sauce and remaining soy sauce. Saute, stirring for 3 min or until heated through.Garnish w/ chopped scallions and sesame seeds.
