There are so many nutritional benefits to eating Kale. This healthy Portuguese Kale soup is a great way to incorporate these super-greens into your diet. This soup is good for you and very delicious! Its very quick and easy to make but tastes like you spent hours. Hope you all enjoy it as much as I do!

Ingredients

  • 1 can dark red kidney beans, rinsed
  • 1 bunch fresh kale, chopped
  • 1 - red onion, chopped
  • 1 package (19.5 oz.) turkey sweet italian sausage
  • 6-8 - red skinned potatoes, washed thoroughly and cut into cubes (do not peel)
  • 2 cans (32 oz.) chicken broth

How To Make portuguese kale soup with turkey sausage

  • Step 1
    Boil Potatoes until soft, drain and set aside.
  • Step 2
    Meanwhile, Remove sausage meat from casings and add the sausage, with chopped red onion to a medium, nonstick skillet. Cook on medium-high until the meat is cooked and crumbled thoroughly. Drain.
  • Step 3
    Add all ingredients back into the pot, and heat on medium-low heat until soup is warmed thoroughly and Kale is wilted a bit.
