This recipe evolved out of a mistake. It tastes better as a mistake than the original recipe.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
  • 2 - chicken breasts
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup mushrooms, chopped
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup panko crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

How To Make poached chicken fettuccini

  • Step 1
    Poach Chicken Breasts in Chicken Stock. Bring liquid to a boil turn down heat and simmer 20 minutes or until done.
  • Step 2
    Remove and Cool Chicken and cut into cubes
  • Step 3
    Return Chicken Stock to a boil, add Pasta and boil 8 minutes. Strain pasta.
  • Step 4
    Make Cream Sauce with butter, mushrooms, mushroom soup, cream cheese, heavy cream and garlic powder. Heat until cream cheese is melted.
  • Step 5
    Add chicken and pasta
  • Step 6
    Pour into greased 7x11 baking dish
  • Step 7
    Mix Panko crumbs and melted butter sprinkle on pasta
  • Step 8
    Bake 350 for 25 minutes
