I love having these for a Saturday night supper, I serve with a side of sweet potato fries! They are also a very healthy sandwich!

    cups chopped cooked chicken breast (about 1 pound)
  • 1/2 c
    matchstick-cut carrots
  • 1/3 c
    sliced almonds, toasted
  • 1/3 c
    light mayonnaise
  • 1/4 c
    finely chopped green onions
  • 1/4 c
    plain, fat-free yogurt
  • 1 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    black pepper

    (8-ounce) can crushed pineapple in juice, drained

    (6-inch) whole wheat pitas, each cut in half

How to Make Pineapple Chicken Salad Pitas

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine first 11 ingredients in a large bowl, stirring well. Line each pita half with 1 lettuce leaf; fill each half with 1/3 cup chicken mixture.
