oven " beer" can chicken
(1 RATING)
We love "beer can" chicken on our grill. Living in Iowa, we don't grill all year long. So, when I wanted this chicken, I simply did it in the oven. Also, no beer, I use a soda can and water.

How To Make oven " beer" can chicken
-
Step 1Clean chicken thoroughly. Blot off excess moisture, inside and out, with paper towels. Mix remaining ingredients in a small bowl. Rub a small amount of the oil rub inside the chicken. Place a can of water in the chicken rack. Place chicken on rack. Use remaining oil rub on the outside of the chicken. Place chicken in a 9x13 pan. Bake at 375-400 for 1-1 1/2 hours. I turn the chicken every 20 minutes or so to get him evenly browned and crispy. Of course, this can be done on the grill. On our gas grill, we place the chicken in the center of the grill, and then turn the side burners on low to medium.
