this has a lot of ingredients.And cooks slow. But the end is fantastic. There a lot of ways to make this.But I got this from my DAD. So I tend to stick with it.

Ingredients For mullagian stew,also knowen as hobo stew.

  • 2 md
    grilled rabbits
  • 1 lg
    chicken,grilled or smoked
  • 1 lb
    each ground dear meat,ground chuck,cooked
  • 1 lb
    each zesty italian,and pork sauges.grilled in caseing.
  • 5 clove
  • 1 lb
    new potatoes ,cut in4th
  • 1 lg
    red onion,diced
  • 3
    carrots, sliced
  • 5
    celery ribs,cut up
  • 2 can
    tomatoes, and green chillies
  • 1 tsp
    each tyme,oregeno,rosemary,parsly
  • 2 can
    beef broth
  • 1 can
    chicken broth, low salt
  • 1 can
    vegetable broth
  • 3 bottle
    dark beer
  • 8-12oz
    mushrooms your choice
  • 1/2 tsp
    each allspice,cummen,
  • 8 slice
    bacon, uncooked
  • 2 c
    red wine

How To Make mullagian stew,also knowen as hobo stew.

    You will need 1) 10"cast iron skillet. 2)14" deep cast iron dutch oven. In the skillet cook bacon till chrisp. Remove from skillet with slotted spoon dry on a paper towl to drain.and crumple

    in the skillet add diced onions,celery,mushrooms,and carrots. saute till tender.remove and set aside.

    In your dutch oven add cut up potatos,then rabbit,then italian saugage,cutup chicken ,then sauges (pork).Add Salt and pepper.add all other ingerdients. Set on med-high heat. bring to aboil. Mix well. set lid on pot. move to med low heat. let simmer for 3-4 hours. Check to reseason. let simmer 35 min more. serve over pasta or rice.
