How To Make mom's hobo dinners

  • Step 1
Lay out 4 foil squares. Make 4 large hamburger patties, season to taste. Layer sliced potatoes, carrots, cabbage. Top w butter, season to taste. Wrap sides of foil up tightly. Put on cookie sheet, bake for 50 min. Remove from oven, add cheese, let set 5-10 min. Enjoy!
  • Step 2
This was the way my mom always made it, no subs. As a kid I didn't like cabbage, but love it now. I want my kids to enjoy their food and this recipe makes it so easy to sub for individual tastes.
  • Step 3
Other suggerstions: mushrooms, corn, green beans, broccoli, cauliflower, onion, etc. limitless...I have also used chicken in place of hamburger! Just add EVOO.
