mom's hobo dinners
My mom made this when I was growing up. Ive changed it slightly to fit my familys tastes. so easy to make special for each family members likes w little effort. I can effortlessly make each family members dinner to taste, they love knowing which is theirs just by the ingredients! Can also be made w chicken or pork chops!

Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 3 pounds potatoes, sliced thin
- 3 - carrots, chopped thin
- 1 small cabbage, sliced thin
- 4 slices cheese, your choice
- 1 stick butter, divided equally
- 4 large foil wraps
How To Make mom's hobo dinners

Step 1Lay out 4 foil squares. Make 4 large hamburger patties, season to taste. Layer sliced potatoes, carrots, cabbage. Top w butter, season to taste. Wrap sides of foil up tightly. Put on cookie sheet, bake for 50 min. Remove from oven, add cheese, let set 5-10 min. Enjoy!

Step 2This was the way my mom always made it, no subs. As a kid I didn't like cabbage, but love it now. I want my kids to enjoy their food and this recipe makes it so easy to sub for individual tastes.

Step 3Other suggerstions: mushrooms, corn, green beans, broccoli, cauliflower, onion, etc. limitless...I have also used chicken in place of hamburger! Just add EVOO.
