A quick and easy chicken dish w/ anasian flavor. I serve w/ thin asian noodles, and stir fried fresh veggies.

Ingredients

  • 2
    bonw-in, skin on, chicken breast halves
  • 1/8 tsp
    salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    sesame oil
  • 1/4 c
    hoisin sauce
  • 2 tsp
    light soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground ginger
  • 1 Tbsp
    rice-wine vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp
    chopped scallion as a garnish

How to Make Moist, Hoisin chicken

Step-by-Step

  1. Heat oven to 375. Line rimmed baking sheet w/ foil, spray the foil w/ cooking spray. Sprinkle chicken w/ the salt.
  2. In lg skillet, over med-high heat,heat oil until hot. Cook chicken until browned, turning once. About 6 mins. Place chicken, skin-side up, on baking sheet, bake 10 mins.
  3. In bowl, whisk together hoisin sauce, vinegar, saoy sauce and ginger. Reserve 1/2 of sauce. Brush chicken w/ sauce and cook another 10 mins, or until juices run clear. Spoon reserved sauce over chicken. Sprinkle w/ scallions.
