ham (deli sliced or fresh smoked)
4 slice
swiss cheese (or whatever type cheese you like)
italian bread crumbs

How to Make Light-er Chicken Cordon Bleu

  • 1Turn on oven to 375 degrees. Spray a small roasting pan with Pam (or other cooking spray).
  • 2Slice chicken breast lengthwise to make a deep pocket (almost in 1/2). Unfold and layer ham and cheese inside pocket of chicken. Fold chicken to cover ham & cheese. Place filled chicken breasts into roasting pan. Sprinkle top with Italian bread crumbs. Spray with cooking spray.
  • 3Bake uncovered for 45 min. to an hour (depending on size of chicken breast) until cooked through. Serve with vegetable & garlic bread. Yummy and not over the top in calories!!

Note: Can add spinach and/or mushrooms as stuffing to make the chicken yummier, and still be healthy!!
