My husband loves traditional stroganoff, but I don't like the heaviness of it! I created this and he no longer misses his old-fashioned favorite!

1 lb
ground lean turkey or chicken
onion, diced
garlic clove, minced
1 c
sliced mushrooms
2 Tbsp
worcestershire sauce
2 c
chicken broth
1 c
plain, nonfat yogurt

How to Make Lightened-Up Stroganoff


  • 1Brown chicken or turkey, onion & garlic in a large, nonstick pan. Drain well.
  • 2In same pan, saute mushrooms until golden brown, 2-3 minutes.
  • 3Return meat mixture to pan. Add worcestershire sauce and chicken broth and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes.
  • 4Remove from heat and stir in yogurt. Serve over rice or egg noodles.
