This recipe is simple as can be, but it can be tweaked in a number of ways. To make it more authentic, add half a cup or so of slivered almonds or cashew halves or pieces. Another yummy way to serve this dish is spooned over some fragrant Basmati rice.

Ingredients

  • 1 or 2 teaspoons cooking oil
  • 2 cups cubed chicken
  • 1 jar patak's original cooking sauce
  • 4 cups white or brown rice or basmati rice, cooked
  • ½ to 1 cups slivered almonds or cashew pieces or halves (optional)

How To Make lazy cook's chicken korma

  • Browning cubed chicken in oil.
    Step 1
    In a deep skillet, heat cooking oil. Add cubed chicken. Saute for about 5 minutes or until chicken starts to brown.
  • Simmering chicken in seasoned sauce on stovetop.
    Step 2
    Pour cooking sauce over the chicken and bring to a boil. Simmer about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Cooked rice on stovetop.
    Step 3
    Cook rice in a separate saucepan according to instructions on package. For long-grained rice, simmer covered in boiling water for 15 minutes until water is absorbed.
  • Lazy Cook's Chicken Korma ready to serve.
    Step 4
    Serve the chicken and sauce over rice and enjoy!
