kitty's baked chicken and peaches
Decades ago I had a great recipe for chicken and peaches then somehow lost it. Remembering how much my family loved it I had to come up with a new one. This recipe has been tested by my loving family and it passes as being as good as the one I lost!

Ingredients
- 2 - boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, divided
- 1 - large fresh peach (sliced)
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons whole walnuts
- 1 teaspoon corn starch
How To Make kitty's baked chicken and peaches

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Step 2Lightly grease a covered casserole dish

Step 3Place chicken breasts in the prepared dish and sprinkle with 1/2 of the brown sugar. Top with peach slices

Step 4In a small bowl, break walnuts into large pieces using your fingers

Step 5Add brown sugar, spices and lemon juice to the walnuts and mix well, then pour mixture over chicken and peaches

Step 6Cover and bake 30 minutes

Step 7Using a slotted spoon plate the chicken, peaches, and most of the walnuts. Cover with foil to keep warm while making the sauce

Step 8Pour drippings into a small sauce pan, add 1 tsp. of corn starch and whisk constantly over medium-high heat.

Step 9Cook until slightly thickened then pour over plated chicken and peaches and serve
