I love KFC Original Recipe Chicken and all the fixings, but I ran out of the fixings one day and decided to make a cabbage stir fry using the Original Recipe Chicken to flavor the cabbage I had on hand and it came out great and it stretches out to make a meal for the whole family using just one piece of chicken. The flavor goes along way in this recipe and you can actually flavor a whole cabbage with just one piece of the Colonel Sanders Chicken. Make some buttermilk biscuits and some mashed potatoes and you have a wonderful homemade version of the Meal with all the fixings just different

How to Make Kentucky Fried Cabbage

Step-by-Step

  1. Add shredded cabbage to a hot skillet with a dab of oil or butter or use just water and cook over medium heat until stir-fried and crispy or soft. Reduce heat and cover while cooking and you prepare the chicken.
  2. Prepare the chicken so it looks like this.
  3. Add the shredded piece of Colonel Sanders Kentucky Fried Chicken and stir-fry until hot. *Tip I like to cook the cabbage until it gets a little brown or burnt on the edges for flavor.
  4. Top with a sliced serrano pepper and serve with a side of mashed potatoes & gravy and a homemade buttermilk biscuit. Enjoy!
