karla's chicken lasagna
This is a very delicious chicken dish , I usually use a store bought cooked chicken and shred it up. This dish can easily be down sized for a smaller 8x8 dish.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon basil, dried
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 4 cups cooked chicken ; cubed
- 1 - egg ; slightly beaten
- 2 cups cottage cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon parsley flakes
- 1/2 pound lasagna noodles, cooked
- 1 package freezer spinach ; thawed and drained
- 1/4-1/2 pound mozzarella cheese slices
- 1/4-1/2 pound grated parmesan cheese
How To Make karla's chicken lasagna

Step 1Make a roux with the flour by melting butter and adding flour mix until smooth , blend in salt , basil , garlic and onion powders.

Step 2Stir in the chicken broth and bring to a boil , stirring constantly until thickened.

Step 3Remove sauce from heat and add the chopped chicken.

Step 4mix the egg and cottage cheese and parsley together.

Step 5Spray a 13x9x2" baking dish with vegetable spray.

Step 6Layer the bottom of dish with 1/3 of the chicken mixture ; top with 1/2 the cooked noodles ; half the cottage cheese mixture ; half the spinach and half the mozzarella cheese.

Step 7Repeat the layers ; ending with the last of the chicken mixture.

Step 8Top with parmesan cheese.

Step 9Bake @ 375° for 45 minutes. Remove from oven and let set for 10-15 minutes before cutting into squares.
