Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds chicken thighs, boneless/skinless
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 3 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 3 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 3 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1/3 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon salt

How To Make indian chicken tikka skewers

  • Step 1
    Cut chicken into 1 1/4 inch cubes. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water.
  • Step 2
    In a food processor, add onion, garlic, ginger, lemon juice and spices until finely mixed. Add yogurt and salt and just combine.
  • Step 3
    In a plastic bag, coat chicken thoroughly with marinade and allow to marinate for several hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
  • Step 4
    Remove chicken from marinade and place on skewers. Grill chicken turning once until chicken is cooked through.
